to study how to choose a diamond for your budget.

Diamonds are graded by four characteristics: cut, carat (weight), clarity and color. These four properties determine
how much a diamond is worth.

Cut – The symmetry and facets are extremely important how the diamond sparkle to the observer.

Carat – The size of the diamond, the larger often cost more per carat.

Clarity – The cleanness of the diamond, ranging from IF (Internally Flawless), VVS (Very Very Small Inclusion), VS
(Very Small Inclusion), SI (Small Inclusion), and Imperfect (Eye Visible Inclusion).

Color – Range from D to Z, from colorless to brown, around S they become yellowish brown. There is also fancy
diamond find in green, pink, blue, brown, yellow, and red.

A 10X magnifying glass (or a jeweler’s loupe) is normally used. We can also use a diamond tester to see if it is
really a natural diamond.

To ensure and guarantee your purchase, you can also buy certified diamond. The best known and reliable
certification is from GIA (Gemological Institute of America), HRD (Antwerp Institute of Gemology), or IGI
(International Gemological Institute).
