หน้าหลัก > สาระความรู้

Clarity
The birthmark or presence of inclusions in a diamond, like crystals, needles, pinpoints, which is observable by a trained individual while using a 10X loupe. The size, location, distraction and number of characteristics are affected to the clarity of diamond.

IF or LC = Internally flawless or loupe clean (with a 10X loupe)
VVS 1-2 = Very Very Small Inclusion (with a 10X loupe)
VS 1 -2 = Very Small Inclusion (with a 10X loupe)
S I 1 - 2 = Small Inclusion (with a 10X loupe)
I 1- 2- 3 = Imperfect with eye visible inclusions

Color
Color grading scale from totally colorless to light yellow, and under proper lighting to determine and compare with a set of master stones (a set of comparison stones referring the grading scale of E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M, established by industry standard) established by international acceptable standard laboratory.

D - E = Exceptional White, Colorless
F - G = Rare White, Near Colorless
H = White, Near Colorless
I - J = Slightly Tinted White, Near Colorless
K - L = Tinted White, Faint Yellow
M - Z = Tinted Color, Very Light to Light Yellow

Also Fancy color diamonds include yellow, blue, orange, brown, green, pink and red, which is the rarest to find.

Cut
Cut has the greatest influence on its fire, sparkle or brilliance amount the 4C factors. A well proportioned symmetrical and polished diamond, which is the facets and finishing surface, direct the maximum amount of light entering the diamond and exiting to the observer’s eyes.

Carat Weight
The size of a diamond is measured in metric carat (in abbreviation “ct”.) One carat is divided into 100 points, equivalent to 20 milligrams. Price is quoted per carat, not by gram (it is just an easy reference for comparison). The weight is always referenced with 2 decimal points.
